The 1967 GT 500 is one of America’s most iconic muscle cars. According to the Shelby American Registry and Elite Marti report, this GT 500 was completed January 24, 1967 and shipped to Schanzmeyer Ford of Jefferson, City, Missouri. It was delivered to its original owner, Mr. David Payne of Fulton, MO. The GT 500 was sold to subsequent ownerships in Missouri and Illinois. A complete rotisserie restoration was performed in the mid-1990s.
In recent ownership, this GT500 went through a complete refreshening including returning the Shelby to its factory correct Lime Gold color with White LeMans stripes. It has limited mileage since the restoration and always exceptionally cared for and maintained in recent collections regardless of use.
This Shelby has been collector owned for the past several years. A wonderful example of classic American muscle, this GT 500 would certainly make a great addition to any collection or simply for touring pleasure. It is complete with a GT500 owners manual and an Elite Marti report showing all the original build specs.
